Great to hear the positive reactions to this video and campaign. And it is especially great that Barry chimed in from AARP. This really is the age when we, the people, matter most in affecting change.

As a long-time political science professor, I am always thrilled to see efforts promoting voting and political engagement. These are at the heart of democracy and what is good for democracy is good for everyone.

I’m glad everyone liked the video. It’s part of our overall GOTV efforts around the election. We wanted to do something engaging for our advocates in addition to the traditional voter guides, voter registration, poll locator finders that we’re sending out as well. This gave us an opportunity to engage in a fun way and try to bring a little humor to a serious message.

So far the reaction of our advocates has been very very positive.

This video is a hoot, and it makes a point. By having my name up there with Barack Obama and John McCain, the video indicates that I am just as important in bringing the change we need in Washington. The finger points right at me, and I need to do my part by making my views known and voting my conscience.
